About Us

Pag-Asa Transition Home (PATH) was created out of the necessity for young men who have completed their sentences in juvenile detention to have a safe home far from the chaos that led to their incarcerations.  PATH was started by Pastor Choi Dotimas, a local Filipino pastor with a heart for struggling young men and by Aaron Esquivel, the son of missionaries who have served street children in The Philippines for a decade. PATH aims to assist young men in finding their God-given gifts and using them to reshape their futures through education, discipleship, and holistic care. PATH has a gradual growth model in which boys are given freedom to make decisions about their own lives and futures, balanced with accountability to leadership and guidance from those who truly have their best interests at heart.

The boys at PATH will be given all the tools available to change their family trees and break cycles of criminality and poverty that have pervaded their lives.

Path relies on the generosity of those who share our vision for second chances, fresh starts, and grace that covers a multitude of sins.

You make known to me the path of life;
   in your presence there is fullness of joy;
   at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Mission

“PATH” exists to glorify God by providing each young man within our responsibility with holistic care, in the hope that every opportunity may be afforded for growth, and sustainable independence, regardless of personal history.

Vision

That every young man, regardless of his history, will heal and grow through holistic care to become a functioning and responsible member of society.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

ROmans 12:2
